2007 Young At Heart Festival Welcome

Dear Festival Goers:

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 36th Annual Young At Heart Festival!  The Chamber Board of Directors has worked very hard to make this year’s festival more fun and more exciting than ever before.  You may be surprised to learn that our planning for each year’s event begins in June!

With a quick glance at our schedule of events, it is easy to see that fun will be had by all.  Take a walk around the midway, those who dare may take a ride on one of Skinners thrill rides.  If you are a little fainter at heart, it may be music you prefer to enjoy.  Step up to the Miller Oasis stage and enjoy both local and national music acts.  Feeling a bit hungry?  Check out our many food vendors. We all love fireworks.  Even more, we all enjoy the Grand Finale.  Hold on to your seats because the Young At Heart Festival is known for having one of the best fireworks displays in all of Illinois.

The success of our festival is dependent on hundreds of volunteers and generous sponsors.  I would like to take this time to thank each an every volunteer and sponsor.  Your support and commitment to this event and our surrounding communities is priceless.

It is the Parks Chamber of Commerce top priority to provide you with a family orientated, safe and fun place to spend your Memorial Weekend.  Please take a moment this weekend to remember those who have served and are currently serving in our Armed Forces, especially those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in order so we can enjoy our most precious gift – FREEDOM.

As we enjoy the sights, sounds and sunshine (think positive) of this weekend, never forget – no matter how young or how old, we are all Young At Heart!!
